Advent is the season of preparation and expectation leading up to Christmas. This year Shelbi Shutt will be walking us through the season of Advent. John David Walt reflects on Romans 11 and challenges the idea that Paul’s encounter with Jesus was simply a conversion from Judaism to something entirely new. He frames it instead as Paul’s completion: Jesus fulfills the ancient promise and restores people to the path God intended from the beginning. The devotional invites listeners to see Christ not as a late addition or “plan B,” but as the center of the whole biblical story—present in God’s purpose from creation onward.
The episode closes with prayer and journal prompts about how we understand Judaism, Christianity, and Paul’s calling.
