In this episode, JD Walt reflects on the significance of Pentecost, a pivotal day in Christian history when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles. He emphasizes the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, which continues to guide and inspire believers today. JD shares insights from Acts chapter 2, highlighting the reactions of those who witnessed the event—some were amazed and curious, while others were skeptical.
He encourages listeners to adopt a humble and inquisitive mindset, asking, "What does this mean?" and "What must we do?" These questions, he suggests, are essential for understanding and living out the teachings of Jesus. JD also discusses the feedback from a recent survey about taking a break from the daily "wake up call" sessions, indicating a potential pause in late summer. He shares personal reflections on feeling tired and the need for rest, asking for prayers as he balances his roles as CEO of Seedbed and pastor of Gillette Methodist Church. JD looks forward to upcoming events, including a conference and a series on the Book of Romans. He concludes with an invitation to support the ministry through a sewing campaign and encourages participation in the spiritual journey, whether in person or online.
