JD Walt reflects on Romans 11 and Paul’s conviction that Israel’s apparent setback is not the end of the story. Using the memory of a volleyball crowd building into the chant, “I believe that we will win,” he frames Paul’s message as a declaration of faith: through Jesus’ resurrection, God’s plan of redemption is already moving toward victory for Jews and Gentiles alike. The episode encourages listeners to hold onto that hope when life feels discouraging or uncertain.

Later, JD and his father, David, turn the theme toward personal encouragement: no one is beyond recovery, and turning to God opens both forgiveness for the past and a future filled with new possibility. They urge listeners to pray for people who feel far from faith, reach out with care, and invite them back into community. The conversation closes with hymns celebrating Jesus’s reign and a simple charge to go out, see people, encourage them, and invite them to church.
